SIGNING IMMINENT

Liverpool and Aston Villa are this week expected to finally agree a deal that will see Gareth Barry secure his proposed move to Anfield.

Barry has been shown around the facilities by Rafa Benitez and was requested to be made available for a medical at the weekend. Sadly that had to be scrapped with both clubs failing to strike a deal in time.

However, it is now widely reported that a deal should be finalised later this week. The club's medical team are away with the rest of the squad but that shouldn't create any problems with regards performing any incoming screenings although there could be some minor delays.
